BROTHER'S NIGHT DINNER -- SEPT 10 6PM

OFFICIAL VISIT - GRAND OFFICERS
SEPT 24 6PM POT LUCK

OTHER EVENTS

SCHOOL OF INSTRUCTION
AND POT LUCK
JUNE 25

Following another delicious pot luck (just ask Al) our District Instructor Becky Madsen joined us for our meeting. As usual Lake Harriet officers made the DI’s job easy.

Past Matrons will meet Aug 6. Past Patrons are invited to join us. Details will be sent in an invitation.

Social Club met June 14 for lunch and entertainment by our WP Al and his brother. Just ask about “chicken truck”. We understand it was quite the entertaining afternoon. But then again our WP always finds a way to be entertaining.

The WM project for the Animal Cancer Center needs volunteers and blankets for the animals. Bring those blankets to any function and if you have a bit of time to volunteer so much the better.

All are invited, encouraged and welcome to attend the reception for Tracy Keeling, Grand Adah. Invitations have been sent and details are on this page.

At the close of the meeting Barb Parry PM was escorted to the east to receive her 50 year pin. Barb was Worthy Matron in 1970. Then 9 other 50+ year members were escorted and introduced. Altogether they have 578 total years of membership. Congratulations to all.

WELCOME KRISTIE
INITIATION JUNE 14

We were very happy to have initiation on June 14 and welcome Kristie Kerney as our newest member. She comes from La Crosse Wi where she was a Job’s Daughter. Her mother Robbin and the Worthy Matron from La Crosse Marguerite Vevre were present for the meeting. Come and get to know Kristie and let her get to know us.

At the end of the meeting we honored fathers. Dale Seubert, Bob Davis and Brady Palmquist introduced themselves and enlightened us as to the number of children and grandchildren each of them had.

RECEPTION FOR GRAND ADAH
TRACY KEELING

We all met at the Masonic Home on July 27 for a reception for our Grand Adah, Tracy Keeling.

It might have been hot and muggy and started with rain but about 140 people came to honor Tracy.

Tracy was presented with a beautiful dress watch from Lake Harriet and Acacia Chapters. She holds a dual membership with these Chapters.

Worthy Matrons Deb Rickard (202) and Leslie Olafson (272) welcomed all and Tracy introduced the great number of distinguished guests.

A delicious turkey dinner was enjoyed followed by cake and punch for the reception.

Thanks to all who worked on this reception from both Lake Harriet and Acacia Chapters.

EDINA JULY 4TH PARADE
AND GRILLING

The 4th of July brought the Edina parade and our now traditional summer picnic.

We joined with Bethel 1 Job’s Daughters in the parade. The Bethel got to ride on ETHEL T and the Chapter rode along to the parade site.

We used our new banner and some marched with the banner while the rest rode on the fire truck.

Following the parade we all went back to the lodge for grilled brats and burgers with all the fixin’s and a lot of pot luck goodies.

It was a good time for all and enjoyable to be in the parade with the Bethel. The pictures tell the story.

GARAGE SALE
JUNE 26-28

According to those present this was a very successful sale. The results and more news later, but here is a picture.
